As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be a central part of the National Engineering Team, responsible for high-level design, calculation, innovation, and problem-solving. This role demands a proactive and strategic mindset, with the opportunity to directly impact product development, operations, and customer satisfaction. You’ll work on the complete project lifecycle, from conception and design to final production, in a setting that encourages leadership and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design and drafting for new and modified mobile equipment, developing production drawings and detailed designs.
- Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on new and existing products to ensure design integrity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations, to improve processes.
- Manage CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, Vault) and develop engineering standards.
- Bring a working understanding of hydraulic and electrical control systems to designs.
- Drive compliance and quality across engineering deliverables to ensure regulatory and safety standards are met.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia.
- Extensive experience in mechanical design and drafting, ideally with leadership aspirations.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling (Autodesk Inventor) and knowledge of hydraulic/electrical control systems.
- Strong organisational skills, strategic thinking, and readiness to step into a leadership role.
