About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership position — you'll be on the tools and leading a small crew of roofers across a mix of residential and commercial reroofing projects throughout Townsville and Northern Queensland. You'll work directly alongside the business owner, own the day-to-day quality and safety of your crew, and be the person the team looks to. You don't need a builder's licence you need to be an exceptional roofer who is ready to lead.

Duties

• Lead and supervise a crew of roofers across residential and commercial reroofing projects
• Deliver roofing works to specification, Australian Standards, and company quality standards
• Drive on-site safety — toolbox talks, hazard identification, fall protection compliance, WHS documentation
• Coordinate daily workflow — labour allocation, materials, plant, and subcontractor sequencing
• Communicate progress, issues, and quality outcomes to the business owner

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification
• Demonstrated hands-on roofing experience across residential and/or commercial projects
• Proven ability to lead or mentor others on site — formal supervisor experience valued, strong informal leadership considered
• Safety-first mindset — White Card, Working at Heights, and current driver's licence essential
• Clear communicator — comfortable directing crew, liaising with clients, and reporting
