Ceilings by Design is one of Queensland's most established commercial ceiling and interior lining suppliers 30+ years supplying hospitals, schools, office fit-outs, and retail centres across QLD and NSW. We're hiring an Internal Sales Consultant to own trade enquiries, prepare project quotes, and support our external sales team from our Morningside facility.

What you'll earn

• $65,000–$75,000 + superannuation
• Permanent full-time — not casual, not contract
• Monday to Friday only — no nights, no weekends
• Free parking — Morningside facility (2025 fitout)
• Full onboarding and product training provided

What you'll do

• Handle inbound trade enquiries — builders, contractors, project managers
• Prepare accurate quotes and project pricing using estimating software
• Process sales orders and coordinate project delivery schedules
• Support external sales representatives with quote preparation and customer follow-up
• Build product knowledge across commercial ceiling systems and interior linings
• Maintain relationships with repeat customers and long-term project clients

Who fits this role
Ideal: 1–5 years in internal sales, trade counter, customer service, or estimating in construction, building materials, hardware, or wholesale distribution.
Also a strong fit: Retail management, hospitality management, or commercial admin candidates with strong numeracy, confident customer-facing experience, and a genuine interest in construction. The right attitude and aptitude matters more than industry background.

Must-haves:

• Comfortable talking with tradies, builders, and project managers
• Strong with numbers, quoting accuracy is critical
• Detail-oriented and reliable
• Quick to learn systems and processes
• Team player who backs the external sales team

Bonus:

• Quoting or estimating software experience
• Building materials or trade product exposure
• Understanding of commercial construction workflows
