The right person won't just fill this role — they'll grow into running it. This is a founder handover at a consistently growing Australian 4WD manufacturer. High trust, high autonomy, real trajectory.

The Opportunity Our client is an Australian manufacturer of locally-made adventure van and 4WD equipment. Four years of consistent year-on-year growth has created the need for a commercially sharp operator to take ownership of customer experience and sales — freeing the founders to focus on the next phase of scale.

You'll report directly to the Founder, own the full customer journey, and help build the systems and processes that grow with the business.

What You'll Do 60% — Customer Experience & Sales
  • Own all inbound B2B and B2C enquiries — phone, email, showroom
  • Manage sales conversations from enquiry to order, quality over volume
  • Set expectations on lead times, specs, and delivery
  • Translate customer feedback into internal improvements
25% — Systems & Business Development
  • Improve CRM, quoting, lead tracking, and order workflows
  • Document and scale sales and CX processes
  • Identify AI and automation opportunities alongside leadership
  • Support B2B trade partner relationships
15% — Product & Industry
  • Build deep product knowledge across the range
  • Support customers with technical questions
  • Work with production where sales and manufacturing intersect
Who We're Looking For
IDEAL: 2–5 years in sales, BDM, account management, or CX within manufacturing, trade supply, equipment, or product-based businesses.

ALSO WELCOME: Candidates from automotive, construction, or industrial supply with strong commercial instincts and genuine customer care.

Must-haves:
  • Confident owning a sales conversation end-to-end
  • Strong communicator — written and verbal
  • Organised, proactive, detail-oriented
  • CRM and digital tools experience (or fast learner)
  • Ownership mindset — identifies what needs doing and does it
Highly regarded:
  • Background in 4WD, adventure van, automotive, or outdoor industry
  • Understanding of manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Interest in AI, automation, and process improvement
  • Ambition to grow into a senior leadership role
